Maria Tutukina

Maria received her Bachelor (2004) and Master (2006) degrees in biology and chemistry from Voronezh State University, in collaboration with Institute of Cell Biophysics of Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2006, she started her PhD project and received the PhD degree in molecular biology from the Institute of Cell Biophysics RAS in 2009.  Since that time, she has been working in the same Institute as a senior research scientist. Starting from 2011, she established long-term collaborations with laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in the University of Birmingham, UK, and laboratory of Evolutionary Genomics in the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), Spain. Maria has extensive experience both in experimental and computational approaches in the field of functional genomics of microorganisms, their physiology and biochemistry.
