Professor: Artem Oganov
Dmitry graduated from Moscow Technological University in 2010. In 2014 he received his PhD degree in Condensed matter physics from the A.M. Prokhorov General Physics Institute of RAS. Dmitry’s scientific activity is devoted to the development, implementation and application of electronic structure calculation methods, as well as the theoretical study of structural, electronic and optical properties of novel materials. His research in the field of two-dimensional materials and carbon nanotubes was supported by RFBR and RSCF grants. Dmitry’s work on layered III-VI compounds was supported by the Russian President Scholarship.
RSF project “Computational design for new materials with optimal hardness and fracture toughness”. The project is dedicated to the search of novel materials with optimal combination of hardness and fracture toughness and investigation of their stability, mechanical, elastic and electronic properties
