Dominique graduated from the University of Montreal, Canada, majoring in Biology. She then pursued a Masters Degree at the same university, working on scoliosis, particularly on why this disease affects mostly girls.

Dominique started her research career at the Maisonneuve Rosement Hospital Research Center, in Montreal, Canada, as a Lab Manager. She worked under the leadership of Dr Martin Guimond, on the reconstitution of the immune system following T cell depletion. She published an important paper in Blood, and had the privilege of presenting this work in international meetings. As laboratory manager, she was responsible for developing projects, designing and elaborating experiments, compiling, analyzing and synthesizing results, writing and reviewing manuscripts, experimental training of students, overseeing lab function and experiments, learning, developing and teaching new techniques, lab management (ordering products and equipment) and management of mouse colonies.

The role of ubiquitin ligases Ubr2 and Ubr5 in liver cancer progression using mouse models. New approaches to regulating intracellular proteolityc activity using small interfering RNA.
