Research project

“Molecular changes in transcriptome, lipidome and metabolome in Brodmann area 10 of schizophrenia and autism patients”.

Schizophrenia and autism are serious human mental disorders with considerable inheritable component. However they are associated with numerous genes, and every gene makes only slight contribution, and the alterations in gene expression also involve too many functional groups of genes. For these reasons, it might be useful to expand genome and transriptome data with data about the other not so well studied levels of molecular compounds, such as proteins, metabolites and lipids. Within this particular research we would like to discover more about the levels of lipidome and metabolome.
