Denis graduated in the field of Physics of Solid State from the Moscow Engineering and Physics Institute in 2002.
He worked in the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Science where he defended his PhD thesis in 2006.
The thesis related to epitaxial growth of II-IV compounds and creation of lasers emitting in blue-green range of the spectrum.
During the past six years 2008-2015, he enriched his experience in the top South Korean company – Samsung Electronics where he worked as Senior Research-Engineer and developed GaN based light emitting diodes.
He joined Skoltech in 2016 as Senior Research Scientist.
