Artem obtained his Specialist degree in Photonics and Physics of Microwaves from Lomonosov MSU. In his student years he worked at Institute for General Physics, Moscow, conducting research in the area of optical properties of multiferroic thin films. At Skoltech, Artem was taking courses in Polymer Science, Computational Chemistry and Materials Modeling. As a part of the first cohort of Skoltech students, he spent a semester at Massachusets Institute of Technology, focusing on in-depth study of Polymer Science and Engineering. His internship at Los Alamos was dedicated to testing of the MD QT (molecular dynamics with quantum transitions) algorithm and its application to studies of novel polymers for organic solar cells. Currently Artem is a PhD student at Center for Electrochemical Energy Storage, developing efficient techniques for multilevel simulation of polythiophene-based molecules for organic solar cells.
